The story of how Buffalo wings came to be is a bit murky, but the official story holds that Teressa Bellissimo was working the kitchen at the Anchor Bar, which she and her husband owned.
It's no surprise that from the moment they were invented, they were an instant hit. Most importantly, though, they are the perfect complement to a cold beer. And wings are fun to eat what other food can say that? Sure, you might get a little messy, but that's life. They're deliciously crispy and buttery and spicy.
